Albert DePasquale Obituary

In the first hour of this New Year, January 1, 2022, Albert DePasquale passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 95 after a long and happy life.  Al will be remembered as a gentle, soft-spoken man with a great sense of humor, a perfectionist in everything he did, and the one voted best dressed by his senior class. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed by his family, his wife of 71 years, Betty, his children Deborah (Mary Guhin) DePasquale, Gail (Bob) Hoesterey, Marsha DePasquale, William (Mary) DePasquale, Jane (Steve) Bellucco, his grandchildren, Matthew, Lindsey, Jeffrey, Jamie, Brittany, Billy, Rose, great grandchildren Wolfgang and Anthony, and many nieces and nephews.  Al was predeceased by his parents, Joseph, and Josephine DePasquale (nee DiPasquale), his sisters, Bertha, Martha, Frances, Anna, Marie, and Gloria, and brother, Phillip.

Before retiring from Delco Products division of General Motors he was awarded $10,000 for one of his suggestions. He and his wife celebrated with a trip to Hawaii.

At one point he took on a second job working for Avis Car Rental, to support his five growing children. They were delighted to hear about the "hippie" looking people he had to pick up from the airport. He couldn't understand the excitement of his co-workers when they learned his passengers were from a musical group called Jefferson Airplane! (He had no idea who Grace Slick was).

Al loved to do woodworking. He made frames for all of his wife's paintings, built cabinetry, and a beautiful bed for him and his wife. The drawers he built under the bed glided with ease, the joints were seamless, and the finish was satin smooth. It was built with the love and perfection he put into everything he did.

His family will always remember what he said whenever they said they loved him, "I love you more".
