Alice F. Doern

Alice passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025 at age 100. She is predeceased by her husband Kurt Doern; parents Friedrich and Helene Rotganger; siblings Erich Rotganger, Kurt Rotganger and Erwin Rotganger; companions Engelbert Oechsle and Robert Kinnear. 

She is survived by her son Kurt (Vivian) Doern; daughter Marilyn (Harold) Dowidat; grandchildren Jason (Jennifer) Doern, Amanda (Brian) Leva, Daniel (Nicole) Dowidat, Kevin Dowidat and Dennis Dowidat; great grandchildren Spencer Doern, Ava Doern, Lucy Leva, Josie Leva and Luca Dowidat; sister Erna Dowidat; sister-in-law Isolda Jeannie Romano; many nieces, nephews and extended family here and in Germany.  

Alice and her husband Kurt immigrated from Germany to Rochester, NY in 1952. She loved gardening, sewing, crocheting and knitting. Alices family wish to thank Joyce Pera, Charlene McKnight, Claudia Henry, Annette Taylor and Barb Humphreys for the care and companionship they provided. 

Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday January 23, 2025, from 3-6 PM at James R. Gray Funeral Home, 1530 Buffalo Rd. Interment will be held on Friday January 24, 2025 at 11 AM at Riverside Cemetery.
