Our hearts are blessed with joy as we remember all the precious years that we had together.
Angela’s life revolved around her faith, her family, and her giving nature. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family during their many large family gatherings. She is known for always reaching out to help others, sometimes by adding them to the dinner table for a family holiday, or by giving them a compassionate ear to listen. She will be immensely missed by her family and friends.
Angela was the first lay person in the nation to become a Director of the Separated and Divorced Catholics (DCG) ministry. She did several presentations at national, state and local events and subsequently the Diocese of Rochester ministry expanded to include widowed and remarried individuals. As part of this work, Angela touched many lives with a healing presence and was known to have annual DCG all day picnics at her home on McLain Drive in Spencerport. She organized a Single Parent Family Camp week at Camp Stella Maris where families with children of all ages came together for healing, prayer, and fun for the last week of many summers. These programs (and many more) changed the lives of countless Catholics.
Services and burial will be private. She will be layed to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cure Childhood Cancer Association, www.curekidscancer.com, 200 Westfall Road, Rochester, NY 14620. Condolences can be shared on her tribute wall.
