Barry Cruttenden

Died at home, as he wished, on March 21st, of heart failure. Proud son of Elkland, Pennsylvania, and old Kodak shift worker, and cross-fitter.  He is predeceased by his mother and father, Earl "Curly" and Alda (Spencer) and his sister, Jeannie Cruttenden.  He is survived by his wife, Linda (Gray); his brother Dan (Linda); his children David (Kim) and Kelly (Hope) and his granddaughter Mikayla, a pre-med student at Penn State.  Also mourning him are his step-children and their children Charles Sundlof and son Charlie; Andrea (Nick) Sundlof-Stoller and son Dylan, who called him Poppa.  Known for his epic whoppers, Barry really did complete the hiking of the Long Path, climbed Wayna Pichu in Peru, and climbed to the Continental Divide in Glacier Park, Montana.  He and Linda travelled extensively world-wide; to South America, Central America, Mexico, Europe and Africa. A special thank you to Kathi Mancini for her loving care of Barry during the last month. Thank you to Bill Wade, who was able to get Barry safely to Red Wing and basketball games, during the last summer and fall. Thanks to all of the Greenies for their kindnesses, prayers, and special treats. In memory of "the Bear," take a hike in the sunshine.  As Barry wished, there will be no funeral service, but a gathering will take place on Saturday, April 22nd, from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Greenwood Townhomes Community Center, 31 Mulcahy Blvd. in Chili.  "Barry stories" begin at 5:00.
