Passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, at age 87. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Patricia A. Flanagan. He is survived by his sons Michael Flanagan and Kevin (Karna) Flanagan; former daughter-in-law, Rose; grandchildren Mandy, Julia, Nicholas, and Ryan; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bernard was active in the US Army Reserve from 1958-1966. He was a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology. He enjoyed wood carving and was involved with the Chili Seniors for many years.
Family and Friends may call on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at James R. Gray Funeral Home, 1530 Buffalo Road Rochester, NY 14624. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 8, 2026, beginning at 12:00 PM at St. Pius X Church, 3010 Chili Avenue Rochester, NY 14624. Entombment to follow at Riverside Cemetery on Lake Avenue in Rochester.
