Suddenly on October 7, 2023 at the age of 80. He is predeceased by his parents Charles and Doris Coye; brother William Coye and granddaughter Victoria Hansmann.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Susan Coye (Wackenheim); children Brian (Helen Barrett) Coye, Jacqueline (William) Hansmann and William Roux; grandchildren Heather Hansmann, Alex Hansmann & Erich Hansmann; great grandchildren Hayley Lushington & Sam Listman; as well as a large extended family.
Charles was a Veteran of the US Air Force, serving during Vietnam. He was also a Master Mason, Hesperus Lodge #837 F. & A. M., Bergen, NY. When Charles was younger, he and his father built and competed with model airplanes. He was also a competitive bowler as an adult. He spent most of his career working for Rochester Products & General Motors as a machine operator and technician.
A Service is planned for Wednesday October 25, 2023 at 5 PM at James R. Gray Funeral Home, 1530 Buffalo Rd. Rochester, NY 14624. Military Honors will be rendered at 5:10 PM followed by a Masonic Service.
