Christel Rinkleff

On August 21, 2025, Christel passed away at age of 85. Christel most recently resided in of Henrietta, NY. She formerly resided in Menomonee Falls, WI, Beloit, WI.

Christel is one of seven children born to Karl Wilhelm and Helene (Brand) Rinkleff. She was born January 27, 1940, in Opladen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.  In 1953 Christel’s family immigrated to the United States where they settled in Iowa. Christel married in 1958 and had 4 children.

Her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cooking and faith provided her great joy, and she very much enjoyed playing games, especially card games and backgammon.

She is preceded in death by her father, Karl Rinkleff; her mother, Helene (Brand) Rinkleff; her brothers Franz, Karl, Hermann, and Herbert Rinkleff; and one sister-in-law, Andrea Rinkleff.

She is survived by her children Mark (Glenda) Lockard , Debra Reida (Lockard), Trent (Nancy) Lockard, and John (Timea) Lockard; her grandchildren Emily (John Nagel) Lockard, Claire Lockard, Monica (Karl Weisling) Reida, Meghan Reida, Erica (William) Dawson, Lindsey Kuhlmann, David (Kristine Maurer) Kuhlmann , Andrew Lockard, Joseph (Emily) Kuhlmann, Elizabeth (Max) Franks, Zsolt Lockard; and her great-grandchildren Oliver Nagel, Edith Dawson, George Dawson, Peter Dawson.
