Daniel passed away on October 5, 2024, surrounded by family. He is predeceased by his parents, Harold and Gertrude Boprey; brothers Terry and Tom; sisters Carroll and Nancy; nephews James and Harold Boprey; brother-in-law Edward McQueeney.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Margaret Boprey; daughter Elisa Machado; sons Kenneth Gerace, Aaron (Trisha) Gerace and Ronald (Evon) Gerace; grandchildren Josiah Boprey, Tristan Gerace, Damian Gerace, Adam Gerace, Madelyn Gerace, and Julia Gerace; brother James (Betty) Boprey; cousin, Fr. William Donnelly; longtime golfing buddies Vinnie Rinaudo, Jimmy Nicholas and Bill Palczyk.
Daniel was a Postal Carrier for 23 years and was a long-time member of the NALC 210 Union. He enjoyed golfing, especially at Craig Brae and in a league through the Town of Gates. He and Margaret traveled regularly to Sebring, Florida where he was a champion Pétanque player. He also enjoyed working as a volunteer, preparing meals and coffee for the community in Florida. He was an active participant in the Art League of Tanglewood.
Friends are welcome to greet Daniel's family for light refreshments on Wednesday, October 9 at 2 PM at James R. Gray Funeral Home, 1530 Buffalo Road, Rochester, NY 14624. A Funeral Service, officiated by Fr. William Donnelly, will begin at 2:45 PM. Interment will be private.
