Doreen M. Ryan

On March 8, 2026, at age 78, Doreen passed away peacefully.

She was predeceased by her husband Charles J. Ryan; son Michael Ryan; brothers Frank Cocuzzi and Tony Cocuzzi; sister Frances Cocuzzi; and parents Anthony and Mae Cocuzzi.

She is survived by her son Matthew C. Ryan and many dear friends.

Doreen worked at Strong Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a devoted Catholic. She faced adversity throughout her life, including diabetes for over 40 years, heart disease for 25 years and kidney disease for 10 years. Throughout that time, she approached these challenges with strength, grace and discipline. Her faith and her spirit guided her and strengthened her along the way.

She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles every morning and evening. She loved to cook and bake, and she cherished her lunch dates with her friends. She was a devoted wife to her husband Charles and mother to her son Matthew. 

Friends are invited to Doreen's Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 10:00AM, at St. Pius X Church, 3010 Chili Ave, Rochester, NY 14624. 

She will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Charles in Western New York National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 10:45 AM in Western NY National Cemetery, 1254 Indian Falls Rd, Corfu, NY 14036.
