Douglas “Swampy” Howe Obituary

Douglas L. Howe passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at the age of 68. He was predeceased by his parents Kate and Roger Howe. He is survived by his sisters Debi Chilson, Patty Kay (Mark) Randall; brothers Craig (Barb), Jerry & Dave (Pat). He also leaves behind all of his beloved nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and friend Cindy. Doug will be remembered as a very kind and caring person who would help and do anything for anyone.

He was a devoted Mets and Buffalo Bills fan. He enjoyed playing golf and shooting darts and won 2 Rochester Dart championships. He worked at Kodak for many years and then worked at Chloride in Caledonia before retiring.
He was a life member of the Mumford fire department and past president. He really enjoyed announcing all of the Cal-Mum youth football games for years. He will be sadly missed by all his friends (The Brothers) from Watertown and by anyone that had the privilege of knowing him.
There will be a celebration of his life on June 18 at 2 PM at the Mumford fire hall. Anyone wishing to donate in Doug’s memory may do so to the Mumford fire department at PO Box 477 Mumford, NY 14511.
