Passed away peacefully in Florida on April 2, 2021, at the age of 79. Ed was born on January 3, 1942 in Rochester, NY. He graduated from Edison Tech and later from RIT. After many years at Xerox Corp., Ed retired to Cookeville, TN, where he enjoyed taking care of his yard with beautiful flowers. He was known as a photographer for his daughter Julia’s school activities and later was the spirit photographer for Tennessee Tech’s Golden Eagles Dance Team. In 2013, Ed moved to North Fort Myers, FL. Ed enjoyed The Rolling Stones and the St. Louis Cardinals. People who knew Ed, knew he had the gift of gab and ability to find a way to meet his favorite musicians, singers and sports figures. Who can forget how he met Lisa Marie Presley?
Ed was predeceased by his father, Walter Harris. He is survived by his daughter Julia Harris (fiancé Bill DiTomaso), mother Irene Harris, brothers Leonard (Marianne) and Stephen (Debby), plus his nieces, nephews, aunt, uncle, and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on June 30, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theodore’s Catholic Church, 168 Spencerport Rd., Rochester, NY 14606. Please wear a mask.
Interment will be private.
