On March 25, 2020 at 98 years young. Predeceased by her husband Gerald Troy; brother John Regan and sister-in-law Mary Lou. Survived by her children Sue (Pat) Cornwall, Bill (Eleanor) Troy, Pat (Ron) Demers, Nancy (Robb) Dehm; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 4 nieces & nephews.
Betty graduated from Nazareth Academy in 1939 and then attended Nazareth College. In 1941 she went to work for for the U.S. Army Ordinance Dept., where she met her husband, Gerald. They married in 1944 and started a family. From 1966-1983 she worked for St. John Fisher College in the Registrar's Office where she enjoyed a fulfilling career and made lifelong friendships. Upon retirement, she moved to Lake Worth, FL where she enjoyed 27 years of sunshine, activities and new friends. She moved back to Rochester in 2010 to be closer to family while living at the Legacy Fairways in Victor, NY. Spending time with her children & their families, as well as friends she made throughout her life was her favorite pastime.
Betty's family would like to send their deepest gratitude to the staff at The Friendly Home who were so kind and nurturing toward her through her last two months of life.
A Funeral Mass will be held later this year at the Chapel at St. John Fisher College once current restrictions are lifted. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse, 150 French Rd. Rochester, NY 14618. Interment private in White Haven Memorial Park.
