Felix passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025 at the age of 60. He is predeceased by his parents Felix P Caruthers III and his mother Priscilla T. King. He is survived by his life partner Sara Pulver; brother Ethan King; sister Victoria Mansfield and brother Scott Caruthers; Uncle; Nephew; Cousins; his beloved pets Franky & Popo; former wife and friend Lindsay Berman (Caruthers), many dear friends, as well as many wood and art clients over the years.
Felix Porter Caruthers IV was a carpenter by trade and an artist at heart. Self-educated and exceptionally insightful, he made so much out of the few tools he was given in life. Felix was a reader from a very young age, a writer throughout his life and a lover of words in general. His pursuit of work got in the way of his love of making things to an extent, until the pain of his stenosis made work impossible and then he got to really explore his creative side. Painting, carving, writing and playing guitar. Felix was acrobatic, sure footed, and possessed quick reflexes that saved his life more than once. He was an animal lover and enjoyed many cats and dogs as pets over the years. Pet wise he is survived by Franky and his dear beloved Popo.

Through trials, tribulations and triumphs, together or apart in this life, you are my brother, a wood artist, a philosopher, mentor, writer, oh such an amazing writer! Through all that this life has dealt us, our love never dies, it only shifts and moves. I love you forever!
A Celebration of Life will be announced sometime in 2026 via social media. In lieu of flowers…..please be kind to each other.
