Frederick "Fritz" Tytler Obituary

Survived by his wife of 66 years, Jeanette Tytler (Attridge); brothers Richard (Mary) Tytler and John Tytler; sister Elaine (William) Shanley; son David (Kitty) Tytler; daughter Susan (Robert) Johansson; grandchildren Sammy (Kim) Derosa, Nicole (William) Skutul, Kelly (Joel) Matison; great grandchildren Ethan, Zachary, Addison & Billy; many nieces and nephews.

Fritz was a life member of the Gates-Chili Fire Department, where he held the ranks of Lieutenant, Captain & Battalion Chief. He was elected as a Fire Commissioner for the Gates Fire District in 1973 and served until 1991. He was a life member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York in which he was a Past President, and Fireman’s Association of the State of New York. He was also a Korean War veteran and a life member of the American Legion.
