George Neerbasch Obituary

George William Neerbasch, age 86, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2023, with family by his side. Predeceased by his wife Nancy Neerbasch, his daughter Lauren Rizzuto-Candelario, and infant son William M. Neerbasch. He is survived by his sons, Steven (Rita) Neerbasch, and David (Corrine) Neerbasch; grandchildren, Jessica (Aric) Schaubroeck, Niki (Chad) Gaesser, Robert Neerbasch, Alexander French, and William Neerbasch; Great-Granddaughters, Juniper, Alivia, and Fern.

In 1956 George sold his beloved horse to purchase an engagement ring for the love of his life, Nancy. After they were married, George and Nancy started a family, they moved to Greece where they built a house, and were longtime residence there ever since.

George worked at Kodak for over 30 years as an engineer and retired at the age of 50. He then went on to work at Pfaudler as a pressure vessel expert. He was successful in business and lived his life with no regrets.

George was most proud of his family, and he will be remembered as a kind and generous man who loved cake, Nascar, golf, and hunting with his father.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, noon - 1:00 pm at James R. Gray Funeral Home, 1530 Buffalo Road, Rochester, NY 14624. Immediately following, friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life at Red Fedele's Brook House located in Greece.
