On June 15, 2023, Jerry, AKA Big Brother, Uncle, Jerr Bear & Papa Shark passed away at the age of 84. He is predeceased by his parents Carroll “Tom” & Elva Martin; sister-in-law Anna Martin; brother-in-law & sister-in-law William & Gwen Gardner & Gary Gardner.
He is survived by his wife & best friend of 54+ years, Carol; brother Alan; nieces Jennifer (Richard) Brongo, Amy Martin, Shari Gardner, Mindy (Dwight) Hettler; nephew Bill Gardner; loving great-nieces & nephew Jordan, Sydney, Madison & Lily Brongo, Brandon & Shayna Hettler; great grand-nephew Antonio and many dear cousins, friends and neighbors.
Jerry was a fan of the NY Yankees and Cleveland Browns. He loved playing softball, golfing and traveling, especially to Myrtle Beach. His true joy was in watching his nieces play basketball, baseball and soccer, along with all their recitals. Jerry was also an Army Veteran. The family wishes to thank the staff at Unity Hospital ICU and 3200 Wing for their compassionate care. Kindly consider a donation to Humane Society at Lollypop Farm in Jerry’s memory.
Friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 11 AM at Parish of the Holy Family, 4100 Lyell Rd. Interment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
