Gertrude Luedke

Gertrude Luedke, 97, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family.
She was affectionately known as “Oma” and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had a passion for German music, gardening and anything sweet.

Born Gertrude Frost in 1926 in Düsseldorf, Germany. It was there she met and married the love of her life, Sigesmund Luedke. Gertrude and her family migrated to the United States and settled in Rochester, NY in 1957.
Gertrude is predeceased by her husband Sigesmund. She is survived by her son Robert (Julie) Luedke, daughters Sigrid (Frank) Choromanskis, Dorothea (Bill) Bricka; grandchildren Erika (Curt) Despard, Robert (Erica) Luedke, Kirsten (Michael) Stone; Travis (Caitlin) Choromanskis, Lindsey (Dan) Locker and Christian Bricka; great grandchildren Jackson, Elliott and Luka Despard, Rhett Luedke, Baby Stone, Ari Choromanskis, Austin and Caleb Locker.

Our heartfelt thanks goes to the Edna Tina Wilson Living Center for their kindness and loving care.

Services and interment will be private.
