Giuseppe "Peppe" Silivestro Obituary

Peacefully, on May 9, 2026 at age 87. He is predeceased by his parents Michele and Annunziata Silivestro; brothers Domenic Silivestro and Rocco Silivestro; sister Maria Grazia Carere.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Ada Silivestro; son Michele (Tanya) Silivestro; daughter Nunzia (Bill Peacock) White; grandchildren Ellesandra White, Baileyana (Sergio Colon) Peacock, Anthony Silivestro, GianCarlo White and Mariana Silivestro; sister-in-law Lina Silivestro; several nieces and nephews, both local and abroad.

Giuseppe was born in San Giorgio Morgeto, Italy. He met his beloved wife Ada during a chance meeting at a local restaurant in Switzerland. They fell in love and married in Switzerland in 1965 before moving to Rochester, NY two years later where they laid down roots. He was a Master Carpenter and Corian Expert who enjoyed working for over 30 years with EJ DelMonte Corporation in East Rochester. Peppe enjoyed soccer and was always glued to the tv when a match was being played. Even in his final days, soccer was always on in the background. He had an amazing eye for measurement and exceptional ability to construct. He also had a passion for tending to his traditional Italian vegetable garden and seeking out the freshest Italian bread. The care he put into those endeavors resulted in another of his favorite events, Sunday Pasta Dinner. He cherished these times with his family as he enjoyed their company along with a glass of Carlo Rossi Burgundy and a small shot of Black Velvet. Giuseppe was known as a loving husband to Ada, "Pappi" to Mich and Nunzia, and "Nonno" to his grandchildren. He cared for his entire family would do anything for them. He was also a proud man with a strong faith who attended Mass regularly until his health prevented his attendance.
