Harriet Delores Taylor, daughter of Josie and Lawrence Taylor Sr., was born In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Harriet was baptized at the age of nine years old at Vine Memorial Baptist in Philadelphia. Harriet is the fifth sibling of six siblings preceded in her death by her oldest brother, Lawrence Taylor Jr. and middle brother, Andre Spencer Taylor.

Delores or “Dee” as she was affectionately called by friends and family was articulate when speaking and had a reserved and quiet mannerism.

Harriet was sociable and liked by others. Harriet had a beautiful personality, friendly and a lovely smile. Harriet was kindhearted and a thoughtful person.  Harriet’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

Harriet was our Gift to this world who was abruptly taken away from us but the memories your family and friends shared with you, “Dee,” will never be forgotten nor taken away from us.  Your very existence on this earth had meaning to all that crossed your path. You did not live your life in vain but to the glory of our God who art in heaven and will now cover you with his feathers and prepare a place for you.

You were God’s Gift to us and you will be forever remembered, loved and missed.

To celebrate her life she leaves behind her son Andre M. Gray; three grandchildren Aailyah, Jasmine, Giselle; sisters Athene Baidoo-Shelton and Cynthia Arnold; youngest brother Wyatt Taylor; nephews Yaw Demar Baidoo (wife Kara Baidoo), Amir Baidoo, Jalen Shelton, Christopher Arnold (girlfriend Mindy Johnson); sister in- law Sallie Taylor; brother in-law Marvin Shelton; niece Nia Williams; uncle JJ Corbett; cousins Jerome Corbett, Paula Peyton, Michael Wyatt and Lucius Wyatt; family friends Carl Benner, Linda Nelson, Elaine Chandler, Geraldine Clark, Bryd, Barbara Woods, Cynthia Simmons, Cynthia Carwise, Warene Mathis and numerous other friends.
