Passed into eternal life on May 1, 2023 at age 95. He was predeceased by parents Rev. James Dalton Morrison and Marion Wilder Morrison, brother Dr. George Robert Morrison, sisters Mary Faucher and Marion Ruth Muller. Survived by loving wife of 55 years Marian Stone Morrison, sister Patricia Blomgren, daughter Sheryl Beauchemin, son Barry Ford (Kim), five grandchildren, Amanda Beauchemin (Chad Keast), Ryan Beauchemin (Brooke), Dalton Ford (April), Jordon Ford (Kayla), Taylor Cyr and four great grandchildren Kenna, Asher, Smith and Terra, as well as nieces, nephews and friends.
Jim attended Monroe High, SUNY Morrisville, UM and RIT. He proudly served his country in the Korean Conflict. Jim was a lifetime Senator and National Director of the Maryland Junior Chamber of Commerce, a lifetime member of Lions Club, lifetime member of Rochester Area Sanitarians and had a professional career in Food Technology, Bird's Eye division of General Foods and Genesee Brewing Co.
It was said that "Jim lived, acted and achieved with a quiet dignity familiar to all who have been fortunate enough to have known him well." He was wholeheartedly devoted to family, church and community – a true man of faith.
A Celebration of Jim's life will be held at First Baptist Church of Rochester, 175 Allens Creek Road, June 10, 2023 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital or First Baptist Church.
