Jane Hysner Obituary

Passed away suddenly on December 23 at the age of 72.  Survived by her husband of 49 years, Carl; children Jeff (Tricia Beggs) Hysner and Emily (Ken) Johnson; sister Susan Tyler; brothers David (Mary), Steve (Roue), Bruce, and Scott (Colleen) Alexander; sister-in-law Diane Conklin; brother-in-law Gary Hysner; many nieces and nephews.  But the ones that brought the most joy to her life were her beloved grandchildren – Madi (Austin Bradley), Luke, Laynee and Gavin Hysner, Alexis (Jeff) Hoeschele, Alison Short, Kali and Kyle Johnson; and her great grandchild “her buddy” Maci Hoeschele.

Jane retired from RG&E in 2003 and spent much of her time playing golf, travelling with Carl and many dear friends, and Christmas shopping year-round.  She could often be found supporting and cheering on all of her grandkids at their sporting events (and she had multiple calendars and schedules to make sure she didn’t miss many).  She was an avid Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres and Syracuse basketball fan and only missed a game when she was on a soccer field watching her grandchildren play.

Jane was happiest when surrounded by her family, and she will be deeply missed by everyone that knew her.

A Celebration of Life event to take place at a later date in 2021.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your favorite charity.
