Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 14, 2025, at age 85. She was an amazing and loving wife to her husband Alan Gassett; a devoted mother who loved her children, Kim (George) Allen Brittain, Julie (Jim) Kirby, Jacqueline Meyer and Paul (Ann Lupia) Allen; beloved grandchildren, Shaun (Victoria) Brittain, Kate Brittain, Tano Garza, Devi Kirsch, Graci Kirsch, Thomas Kirsch, Izzy Kirsch, Shawna (Richard) Maez, Adam (Kelly) Kirby, Erik (MacKenzie) Meyer and Jacqueline Allen; great grandchildren, Jaxon Brittain, Maya Maez, Emilia Maez, Parker Maez, Aidan Kirby, Laine Kirby, Kaide Kirby, Reese Kirby, Zachary Cook, Brayden Cook, Sophia Meyer, Natalie Meyer, and Abrianna Allen; sisters, Eileen Forrester and Linda Hughes; brother-in-law Bill (Donna) Gassett and their children, Sonja (Brian) Leavitt and their children Olive and Ivy; sister-in-law Barbara Cotroneo Gassett and her children Gracie Cotroneo and Tessa (Spencer) Smith; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Predeceased by sister Gwyneth Moore, son-in-law Peter D. Meyer and grandson Peter G. Meyer.
She was born in Cardiff, Wales; moved to Coventry, England as a child; and then moved to the USA in 1967 with her beloved family.
Janice was extremely kind and a friend to everyone she met. She had a beautiful heart and she will be missed dearly. Services will be private, as will her interment in Grove Place Cemetery.
