Jeanne Marie Fineout

On May 31, 2023 at the age of 70. Jeanne was born in Rochester, NY, the first of five children of Dr. Charles W. Fineout (1929-1975) and Marjorie A. (Fineout) Rombaut (1929-2012), Jeanne was a groundbreaker, as the oldest child often is. She is survived by her siblings Linda A. Fineout, Charles E. Fineout, Mark S. Fineout and Suzanne E. (Fineout) Guglin; brother-in-law Lance Guglin; nephews Robert Fineout and Samuel Guglin; niece Sophia Guglin; many cousins and friends.

Jeanne graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in 1971, and obtained her BA in Art History from University of Rochester in 1982. Her work spanned the arts and sciences, including her position as a technician at an advanced technology lab at Kodak. She then pursued a nursing degree, graduating summa cum laude from SUNY Brockport in 1994. She worked as a registered nurse in various roles until recent years, and found special meaning in tending to those near the end of life.

Jeanne moved into her house on Dewey Avenue in 1978 and made it her lifelong home, welcoming friends and family, tending the gardens, creating an outdoor yoga sanctuary and an indoor library. Jeanne was a lifelong learner, avid reader and book collector, photographer, live music enthusiast, supporter of the arts, and practiced Buddhism and yoga.  She loved being outdoors; her favorite place was Conesus Lake, where she showed off her slalom skiing skills and shared many happy days and nights with the people she loved.
