On May 24, 2024. He is predeceased by his former wife, Jeanne Allen; brothers Tim and Jim Allen. He is survived by his sons Joshua (Brooke Pasquale) Fitch and Justin Allen; grandchildren Conner Horncastle, Vivian Allen and Mathias Allen; siblings Clyde Allen, Mary Baxter and Walter (Julie Clark) Allen; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

John was loved by his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him. Services will be private.
