John W. Aggas

John passed away March 30, 2025, at the age of 93.  He was born and raised in Michigan.  He enlisted in the US Air Force where he served in the Korean War and started his career as an electrician. Upon returning from overseas, he was stationed at Sampson AFB in Romulus, NY.  Upon leaving the military he made his home in Rochester, NY where he met his bride, Patricia, of 68 years.

He is predeceased by his parents John and Ottilie “Tillie” Aggas, mother-in-law Nora Mary Frances Allison; sisters Evelyn (Harold) Beck, Gertrude (Jim) Meek; brothers Edwin, Roland, Kenneth & Clifford Aggas; his sister-in-law Helen (Robert) Patterson, Joan (David) Nealon & Eileen Seidel; brother-in-law Remi Seabolt & Willian Diener.

Survived by his wife Patricia (Allison); his daughter Cheryl (Mike) Snyder; daughter-in-law Lisa Aggas; son John (Jamie) Aggas; sisters Margaret Seabolt, Alice (Joe) Townsend; brothers Daniel (Esther) Aggas and Harold (Shirley) Aggas; brother-in-law James Seidel; grandchildren Jacqueline (Daniel) Holder, Nicole (James) Johnson, Michael (Nicole) Aggas, Stephanie (Kyle) McGuckin, Daniel (Melissa) Snyder; great grandchildren Zoe & Aidan Holder, Kellen & Logan Johnson, Connor Aggas, Evelyn Snyder & Declan McGuckin; and many nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews.

John moved to Florida for 20 Years, returning 5 years ago to be near his family.  He was a hardworking man who enjoyed working with his hands building birdhouses, coasters and Euchre counters and holding his great grandchildren if he could catch them. Although his body was 93, his mind was always 40.  He enjoyed puzzles, baking and cornhole.  He had a big love for Euchre playing at the local community centers 3 days a week.

Final interment will be at a later date.
