On September 8, 2021, suddenly at home. He is predeceased by his son Joseph A. Benson. He is survived by his loving wife Andria Benson; children Marjorie (Stephen) McIlwaine and Mark (Amy) Benson; grandchildren Emma McIlwaine, Kate McIlwaine, Sarah Benson, Andrew Benson, Abby McIlwaine, Hannah Benson; Meg Benson and Nathan Benson; siblings, nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 2 - 4 PM at James R. Gray Funeral Home, 1530 Buffalo Rd. Rochester, NY 14624. Interment private
