June Elizabeth Dowell (Chaba)

June Elizabeth Dowell (Chaba) passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026, at the age of 94, surrounded by her loving children. June was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vincent Martin Dowell, and her cherished granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Wenk.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Lynette Wenk; her son, Vincent (Peg) Dowell; her daughters, Renee (Doug) Sutton, Sharon (Steve) Bubb, and Monica (Will) Shea; as well as many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and other family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

June started her career in the Purchasing Department at Harris/ RF communications where she worked for 23 years.  She later found great joy working in school cafeterias, serving students for many years. Her strong work ethic and dedication kept her working until the remarkable age of 89.  

June was a devoted grandmother who showered her grandchildren with love and affection.  She was a strong independent woman who will remain in all our hearts forever.

A celebration of life for family will be held at a later date.
