Kenneth R. "Rick" Howe Jr.

On November 26, 2025, at age 75, Kenneth R. Howe Jr., who was lovingly known as "Rick," passed away peacefully, surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer. He is predeceased by his parents Kenneth R Sr. and Elizabeth Howe (Haywood); brother-in-law Thomas (Elizabeth) Usher and sister-in-law Margaret (Andrew) McKay.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Catherine Howe (Usher); daughters Audrey (Mike) Atwell, Wendy Craig, Amy General (Steve) Piecuch, and Ricci-Lynn Howe; grandchildren Kristina (Cyrus), Nicole (Christian), Lia, Peyton (Lauren), Joshua, Noah and Gracie; great grandchildren Declan, Isla, Charlotte, Lily, Isabella, and Scout; brother and sisters, Barbara Howe, Vanessa Cotton, Danise Howe, James (Lynn) Howe, and Jane Howe; nieces, nephews, cousins, and his many, many dear brothers in Freemasonry across New York State.

Rick was a devoted husband and father who loved his family; all of whom will miss him dearly. Rick was a proud Veteran who served in the Army on active duty from 1969-1971. Rick, a fierce patriot who loved our country, served in the 82nd Airborne Division and attained the rank of Specialist E5. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal as well as the Parachute Badge. Rick was a well respected and highly revered leader in Freemasonry across New York State; He was a gifted singer and enjoyed entertaining people with his music for over 50 years. He was a devoted Christian who found comfort and community in many churches throughout his life. He enjoyed sharing fond memories of his childhood, growing up and working on the family farm in Brooks Grove (Nunda) NY.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service, to be held on on Sunday, December 14, 2025, beginning at 3 PM at Damascus Shrine Center, located at 979 Bay Rd, Webster, NY 14580. If you wish to send flowers, kindly ask that they be delivered directly to the Damascus Shrine Center by 2 PM on Sunday December 14th.
