Kidya Venus Vargas

Kidya Venus Vargas was the first born to Chastidy Vargas and Ricky Haywood on August 7, 1994. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 14, 2023, at the age of 28.

She was loved by her great grandmother (Big Mama) Beatrice Henderson and her grandmother (Glamee) Kathy Henderson, both of whom predeceased her. Venus is survived by her son, Kidya Venus Vargas, Jr. (KJ) and her siblings Lovie Vargas, Cameila Greer, Nia Greer, Miranda Vargas and Craig Jr. Vargas (Puno); her aunts, Sharen McCall (Tom), Linda Henderson and her beloved uncle, Vincent Vargas (Mercedes). Venus was also adored by her niece, nephews and a host of cousins and friends.

Venus always had ambitions to become a singer/rapper and she pursued it every chance she got by singing cover songs and putting pen to paper creating her own lyrics!  Venus will be sorely missed - may her soul rest in God’s peace. Friends and family are welcome to call on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 4-6 PM at James R. Gray Funeral Home, 1530 Buffalo Rd. Rochester, NY 14624.
