Lawrence E. Melrose (Larry) passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 31, 2025, at the age of 87.
Larry attended Clarkson University and began his career as an electrical engineer at Haloid Xerox. Larry met Nancy at Xerox and were happily married for 64 years.
Larry had so many talents and interests that he built his life and career around. He was a hard worker and always kept busy!
He was a successful real estate broker, designer and builder of homes and hunting cabins, as well as, the owner of Gupp Signs. He enjoyed snowmobiling, bowling, boating, and crafting jewelry from vintage silverware. But nothing compares to the love he poured into his family! Raising five daughters has to be one of his greatest accomplishments, right?
Larry is survived by his loving wife Nancy (Rauscher) Melrose; and five daughters Jane (Gary) Edson, Lynn (Rick) Brimmer, Mary (Tony) Snow, Beth (Keith) MacMillan and Amy Melrose; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and counting; dear cousin Bob (Sue) Melrose; and many lifelong friends.
Please join us in a Celebration of Life which will be held at the Lodge at Shadow Hill, 7259 Lakeside Road, Ontario, NY 14519, on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 4:00 PM.
Please consider a donation to The Webster Comfort Care Home where he spent his last days of life.
