Marilynne Gleason Obituary

Heaven welcomed a new angel as Marilynne J. Gleason of Chili, NY passed away peacefully to be with our Lord on September 11 at the age of 82 with her family by her side. Marilynne was born and raised in Rochester, then relocated to Jacksonville, Florida later in life, ultimately returning back to her hometown of Chili. She was known for her quick wit and sense of humor and loved spending time with her family and friends - traveling, playing games and taking walks on the beach.

She had a successful and rewarding career in Financial Accounting most notably with Eastman Kodak, then retired a second time in July 2021 at age 81 after receiving her 20-year anniversary pin from the Hallmark Company. She also worked many years in the hospitality industry gracing everyone with her infectious smile and can-do attitude. Anyone that knew her recognized her as being a hard worker- dedicated to her work, family and her passion for serving others.

Marilynne is survived by her son Ronald (Valerie), daughter Rhonda and son Rodney (Christine) Gleason; grandchildren Tyler (Emily) and Ryan; great grandsons Gunner and Knox; brothers Charles (Dolly) Sickles and Robert (Zola) Sickles, her aunt Betty Graham and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Caroline Sickles, and sister Carol Coles.
