Marjorie Ellen Sutton

On July 25, 2025, at age 76, peacefully surrounded by her family. She is predeceased by her husband William Sutton; parents John Drew and Betty Yates; sister Johnnie Beth Ruliffson; and son-in-law Luis Reyes.

She is survived by her children Mary (John) Rapp, Dawn (Kevin Smith) Broderick, Billy (Janeen) Sutton, Amy Sutton; grandchildren John Rapp III, Carrie (Phil) Duggan, Lauren Rapp, Evan Rapp, Sadie Broderick, Wes Sutton, Josh Sutton, Jaysen Sutton and Landin Reyes; sister Barbara Yates, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

She was a proud and dedicated homemaker, raising four children. She had a love for birds. She was fond of crafting, sewing, and making costumes for her grandchildren. She was a home canner, grower of fruits and gardener. Marjorie was an avid reader. She also enjoyed having dinner with friends regularly. She and Bill loved to take adventures like camping trips, concerts, and farmers markets. She worked for a time at Phelps Florist, Rochester Telephone, Secretel and volunteered as a class mom and Girl Scout leader. She adored her grandchildren, and they will miss her dearly.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Highland hospital for their continuous care for their parents over these last few years. A very special thank you to Dr G.Alexis Sirotenko and Dr Rebeca Monk for their amazing support and care for Bill and Marge. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to Cumming Nature Center or American Cancer Society.  

A Celebration of Life will be planned for a future date.
