Nancy West (Turo)

Nancy West (Turo) peacefully passed away at the age of 83 on August 25, 2023. She was born in Syracuse, NY and later moved to the Rochester area in the mid-1960s.

Nancy is predeceased by her daughter Linda Tribotte; parents Donald & Clara Turo (Kirsch); brothers Ronald & James Turo.

Survived by her daughter Lori DeFisher; son Jeffrey (Lisa) West; son-in-law Paul Tribotte; grandchildren Scott & Mark Tribotte, Matthew (Rachel) & Timothy West, Megan & Austin DeFisher, Andrew & Jennifer (Zach) West, Ashley (Christopher) Michaels, Eric & Michael (Toni) Eisenhauer. She was also blessed with great grandchildren Matthew, Harper, Alexander & Luca.

Nancy is also survived by her siblings; sister, Carole James and brothers Richard, Robert (Karen), Daniel, Steven (Mary) Turo. She had a close-knit family and leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Throughout her life, Nancy worked as a waitress for many years and later drove a school bus for Gates-Chili. She retired from Agway Energy Products after dedicating over 20 years of service. Nancy was also a life member of the Gates Vol Ambulance Service, showcasing her commitment to helping others. In her free time, she enjoyed playing euchre and was known for her fierce competitiveness.

Our family wishes to extend gratitude to the RRH Hospice team and the dedicated care team of Gables Angels.

There will be no formal services per Nancy’s wishes.
