Ralph D. Gallo Obituary

Ralph D. Gallo, (62), East Rochester, NY, loving companion, brother, and uncle, peacefully passed away on December 24, 2023.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his devoted companion Charlene Sanford, his siblings; Paulette Kryk, Domonick (Stephanie) Gallo, Mariette (Tom) DeWolf, Daphne (Kevin) Root, his nieces Nicole (Matt) Larocca, Angelise (Tyler) Evinsky, Celina (Collin) McCrea, Elizabeth Root and Mary Root; his nephew Nicholas Loomis, great nieces Macie, Avery and Adora; and numerous extended family.

Ralph was predeceased by his mother Angela (DeGuarde) Gallo, his father Ralph B. Gallo Jr., and his brothers, Gregory Gallo and Douglas Gallo.

Raised in Spencerport, NY, Ralph overcame childhood cancer, graduated from E. J. Wilson High School, and settled in East Rochester, NY where he shared his life for more than 30 years with his beloved Charlene.

Ralph became a successful vending machine businessman, and gave his time and treasure to the local community through his service as a Rotarian.  The Irondequoit Rotary is dedicated to the support of Rotary Camp Haccamo for Special Needs Children, as well as many projects in the local area.

Ralph volunteered by facilitating and inspiring positive change through the “Service above Self” ideal. He served as the Irondequoit Rotarian President in 1994, and was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow in 1998.

Ralph was dedicated to ensuring his mother was well taken care of, and that he was available to his family to offer advice, or help when in need.  He supported friends and other small businessmen by helping to make their ventures a success.

Ralph will be missed by many family and friends as we remember all the precious years that we had together.
