Richard was originally from Albany, NY, where he worked for General Electric, Watervliet Arsenal, and Williams Press until he came to Rochester to work as a machinist at Eastman Kodak. He was an amateur photographer and collector of Cameras. He always reveled in the opportunity to act as a semi-professional mechanic whenever his children, grandchildren, or anyone for that matter, needed rescue due to car troubles. Richard had a love for music, especially worship music. He was even the principal trumpet player in his high school band. He loved talking to people and was always up for nice chat with a new friend. But, he loved nothing more than his family, whom he always tried to keep in touch with and visit. Richard loved Jesus, and he and his wife Marie helped their children and others to learn about God and our Savior Jesus by setting a good example and living their faith in everyday life.
The family wishes to extend their deepest thanks to the staff’s of Unity Hospital, Strong Memorial URMC, St. Mary’s Hospital and Rochester General for their compassionate care over the last 6 months.
