Robert Edwin Newhouse

Robert was born in Batavia, NY in April of 1930. On December 15, 2025 at age 95, Robert went to join his beloved wife Barbara, whom he met at a teen dance in 1947. They were married in February of 1951 after Bob had served on active duty in the US Navy from 1949-1950. Barbara suffered a stroke in 2007 and passed away in 2013. He was also predeceased by his brother Walter Newhouse and sisters Anna Reilly and Alyce Sprague.

Bob is survived by sons Thor (Linda Hepworth) Nyhuus and Jeffery (Lori) Newhouse; grandson Shane (Lorraine) Newhouse; sister-in-law Anne (Donald) Wolff as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Friends are invited to call on Thursday January 8, 2026 from 5-7 PM at James R. Gray Funeral Home, 1530 Buffalo Road, Rochester, NY 14624. Interment will be private in Grand View Cemetery, in Batavia, NY.
