Rochester/ Honeoye: Sharon Louise Sellers passed away unexpectedly on February 15, 2021. A Catholic Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church on Saturday, July 3rd at 1 pm. (8961 Main Street Honeoye, NY). The family asks you to join them in a Celebration of Life reception immediately after the mass at 5546 E. East RoadHoneoye. In lieu of flowers please consider making donations to the National MS Society.
Sharon was predeceased by her father Ronald Bentley Sellers Sr. and former husband John Lucas. She is survived by her mother Genevieve Sellers of Honeoye; brother Ronald Sellers Jr. (Holly) of Rochester; sister Lynne Lambert (Tom) of Arizona; niece Amanda Addams and nephew Mathew Addams, both of Rochester; stepchildren John Lucas Jr., Jason Lucas and Lori Lewis; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and long-time friend Chuck Ingersoll.
Sharon approached life with zest and humor in everything she did. She started as a radio personality, then built a successful career as a saleswoman. She was also known for her singing voice and vast knowledge of music. Beginning in her hometown of Honeoye to her time living in Pittsburgh, then enjoying life in Rochester and finally as a cherished resident at Monroe Community Hospital, Sharon routinely entertained all around her. One of her favorite movies was Forrest Gump. Sharon stated that when she reached heaven, no longer suffering from M.S., she would “run and run" like Forrest.
