Steven M. Sloan, 63, of Rochester, New York, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, surrounded by love.
Steven was born on May 26, 1962, in Rochester, NY. He was a man who truly loved people. Anyone who knew him knew he was full of life and always celebrating others. He had a way of making people feel seen, appreciated, and proud to be part of his world.
Steven was also known for his humor and his ability to make people laugh, no matter the situation. His quick wit, big personality, and genuine heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Deborah Salter, Steven Sloan Jr., and Zachary Sloan; his stepchildren, Brandi (Summers) Bell, Tabatha Daggett, Jessica Mee, and Nicole Marlowe; 17 beloved grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, who brought him great pride and joy; as well as his two siblings, Sue Sloan-Berlin and Daniel Sloan.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents; William R. Sloan and Joanne P. (Kelly) Torres and his brother; Timothy Sloan.
Steven will be remembered for his incredible love of music, his love of family, his laughter, and the countless memories he captured and shared with others.
A memorial service to celebrate Steven's life will be held on Saturday, March 14, from 4-8 PM at Trusted Treasurez @ Creekside, 3765 Chili Ave., Rochester, NY 14624.
