It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas "Tom" VanHove, a beloved father, devoted friend, and truly remarkable man.
For over 30 years, Tommy dedicated his career to serving the City of Rochester, where he was respected for his hard work, commitment, and willingness to help others. Beyond his career, he was known as a free spirit with a kind heart, a generous man with an amazing sense of humor.
Tommy touched countless lives through his compassion, friendship, and selfless nature. Whether offering a helping hand, sharing a laugh, or simply being there when someone needed him, he made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His warmth, caring heart, and ability to bring people together will never be forgotten.
A loving father, Tommy cherished his family and took great pride in those he loved. He is survived by his family, and many dear friends, who brought joy, companionship, and happiness to his life.
Those who knew Tommy will remember his adventurous spirit, his generosity, and the kindness he showed to everyone in his life. He leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and service that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Though our hearts are saddened by his passing, we find comfort in knowing that a beautiful soul is finally at rest. Tommy's memory will forever be treasured, his laughter remembered, and his love carried forward by those whose lives he touched.
Rest in peace, Tommy. You will be deeply missed and forever loved. A celebration of life will be held August 23rd at Durand Eastman from 1-7 pm
