On February 26, 2024, Todd passed peacefully with his family by his side. Todd is predeceased by his mother, Patricia Johnson Briggs. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Margaret and their 5 children Keirstin (Marvin Hamilton), Kaelynn (Brendon Schlafer), Tyler (Brooke), Kelsi and Karlee; 3 grandchildren, Marion & Marius Hamilton and Gabriel Briggs; parents James and Helen Briggs; sisters Heather (Kevin) McMullen and Karee Briggs. Todd also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Todd was an inside salesman for Samuel & Sons Speciality Metals. He enjoyed his life to the fullest, and he was always involved in his children's sports careers. From coaching Chili Lions Football, to training the '97 Monroe County Eagles to a State Runner-up title in 2014, Todd was always there for support. Todd was the biggest cheerleader for his daughters' SiS softball travel team and Cobras soccer team.
Todd enjoyed camping and fishing in the Thousand Islands with his family. Campfires at the Briggs house were always open to anyone who could join and everyone enjoyed themselves with a cold beverage and great music.
His strong faith and love in the Lord played a major role throughout his tough battle, after his medical diagnosis last April. Todd was well known for his words of wisdom, faith and his love of meaningful quotes and sacred scripture. One passage he left with his family comes from Matthew 17:20, and reads; He replied, "Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
Todd's life will be celebrated with a beautiful Funeral Mass. Friends and family are invited on Thursday, February 29, 2024 beginning at 10 AM to Saint Marianne Cope Parish at Guardian Angels Church, located at 2061 E. Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14623. Following the Funeral Mass, a lunch reception will be held at Chili American Legion Post 1830, located at 450 Scottsville-Chili Road Scottsville, NY 14546.
